The collection and development of program materials to support new community groups and/or assist existing groups has been a collaborative effort.  Many groups have shared their materials to be used in developing a national package.  The materials included in this packet may be used as is, or modified to meet your group‚s focus.  If modified, they should be personalized with your group‚s name/logo.

For those interested in establishing a community group for the purpose of hosting children, request the Overview Packet. Should you decide to go forward with this program, additional packets are available as described below.

The Group Organizational Materials Packet provides organizational-structure documents, e.g., By-laws, Articles of Incorporation, Memorandum of Understanding, Fundraising Handbook, Chernobyl Children Forms, Coordinator Position Descriptions, etc. for your program.

The material in the Host Family Introduction Packet provides background information on the Chernobyl children, their culture, and the impact of the Chernobyl accident on them.

Once a family has been chosen to host a Chernobyl child, the Host Family Orientation Packet will provide information on "how and what to do" in preparing for the guest(s) visit, during their stay in your home, preparing for their return, and after they return home.

To request these packets, complete our address book form and we will send you the requested materials.  The current cost for all four packets is $45.00.  Send your check to:  CofCUSA, P.O. Box 213, Ellensburg, WA  98926.  Upon receipt of check, packets will be sent.
